House as of 2/4

Well, we move this month!  Only just over two weeks are left, now.  At the house, the stone has been laid on the front exterior, including our nice big porch arch.  The interior is completely primed and they'll be painting the walls and ceiling, trim and doors over the next two days or so.  Then the travertine will be laid, and it'll be our turn to go in and paint next weekend.  Then the cabinets and appliances will come in and the finish work will begin.  This was originally supposed to be our weekend to paint, but the builders had to wait over the weekend for the city's approval to get the power and gas turned on.  That bumped us back from being finished on 2/15 to 2/20.  We're planning on closing 2/21 right now.

 

We've also been receiving a lot of packages over the last week or so for Zoë.  We got her kennel, and automatic feeder for when we're at work, and some other basic goodies/necessities this week.  One thing that was pretty neat which arrived in the mail today was an ID tag from PetHub.com.  We got the first year subscription and pet insurance through a groupon offer.  The tag has a DTA link that can be scanned with a smart phone app to link to a website that has Zoë's address, picture, owner contact information in case she's ever lost.  Her doggie door will be installed early next week at the house.  We're so excited to welcome her to the family soon!
