Day 76 to 78: Paris

So we left India on an 11 hour flight to Paris. We were so lucky to get a row to ourselves and we could stretch out. We arrived in Paris quite late. The next morning we headed out to explore the city. First we went to Notre Dame and then on to the Louvre where we saw all of the famous paintings and sculptures. We saw the Mona Lisa and do not really understand all of the hype about it. We also got so see some of Napoleon's apartment that was inside the Museum. Next we grabbed some great baguette sandwiches and ate lunch in the park. From there we walked down the Champs D'Élysee. This led us to the L'Arc de Triumph. Next we headed to the Eiffel Tower where we sat and people watched for a while.

The next morning we walked to the Pantheon and then to les Jardins Luxenbourges. From there we talked to les Hotels des Invalides. Next we headed past the Grand Palace and on to the Opera House. From there it was on to the famous Moulin Rouge. Finally, we walked up the hill to the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur, where you can see a panoramic of the entire city. We ended the day by buying a fantastic spread of cheese, paté, meats and wine. It was fantastic and cost us next to nothing.
