Day 79 to 80: Brussels

So we left Paris by bus on our way to Brussels. Our first night we met our first Canadian while travelling. We had a great night, saw some of the local sights, and prepared for our day trip to Brugges.

The next morning we woke up early and headed for Brugges which is meant to be the oldest intact medieval city. We walked around this beautiful city with its horse-drawn carriages. We got to try the famous french-fries with mayonnaise and Belgian waffles. We headed back to Brussels and saw the rest of the sights like Mannequin Pis, the Grand Palace and Grand Place.

The next morning before getting our bus to Amsterdam, we went to the Atomium. Its part of what remains of an expo site... what a waste of time. (Thanks Susan)
