Day 74 to 75: Mumbai

After our fantastic train ride to Mumbai from Delhi, we were taken to our hotel which was nearly impossible for our driver to find. We are not quite sure why the agent chose this hotel since there was not much in the area that we could go to. However, the next morning we went on our tour of Mumbai. First we headed to Dhobi Ghat (a large outdoor laundry area). From there we went to the hanging gardens that are built on top of a water reservoir. Next we made two quick stops at Victoria Station (the busiest train station in the world) and the post office. Both of which are examples of building that were made by the British when they controlled India. From there we went to the India Gate and the famous Taj Hotel. Then we went to the National Museum. Most of the pieces in the museum were donated by the Tata family, which is one of the reasons why they are so loved in India. We were glad to visit India and also somewhat glad to leave as it was crazy in all levels.
